The MK-V by Monarch Tractor, a 100% electric, driver-optional, and smart tractor, is available through Clean Off-Road Equipment (CORE) voucher incentive program.
Livermore, California – JULY 10, 2025 – Monarch Tractor, an industry leader in ag robotics and creator of both the MK-V, the world’s first 100% electric, driver-optional, and smart tractor, and Wingspan Ag Intelligence (WingspanAI), an advanced AI computing and farm management platform, announces a significant savings opportunity for California small businesses and municipalities through the state’s CORE program. Under the California CORE program, Monarch’s MK-V and MK-V Dairy tractors are eligible for up to $68,750 in savings off the retail price.

Boosting Access to High-Performance Machinery
As the manufacturer of the MK-V Dairy tractor, the world’s only 100% electric and smart tractor with fully autonomous feed-pushing functionality, Monarch is unlocking increased milk production, labor efficiency, and data-driven decision making for dairy farmers.

It [CORE] was a huge benefit to us because we could get two new electric tractors that we knew were going to be very high quality, instead of buying, probably, another used diesel tractor for about the same money.

The California CORE program is a multi-million-dollar voucher incentive program intended to make currently commercialized, zero-emission, off-road equipment more accessible to users through point-of-sale subsidization. Monarch has been accelerating the adoption of electrification, automation, and AI computing in operations and reporting with its modular technology and energy platform and continues to respond to the demand for high-performance farm machinery that supports profitability, efficiency, and sustainability goals.
Through the CORE program, California is, once again, reinforcing its commitment to farmers, small businesses, and municipalities by empowering them to achieve long-term viability through improved ROI and healthier land management practices.
Heightened Demand for CORE Vouchers
In comparison to previous years, both awareness and interest in CORE vouchers have dramatically increased, exerting more pressure on demand for 2025. Requests for vouchers are expected to exceed availability before CORE’s opening date of August 19, 2025, leaving little to no room for applicants to delay. Monarch is currently accepting and processing applications to help electric, off-road machinery users secure their voucher(s). Applications are short and easy.
Farmers are busy and don’t have time to be burdened with paperwork. At the same time, they’re eager for machinery that helps them reduce costs and improve performance. Customers have expressed that having Monarch being the link to getting CORE set up and handling the paperwork was key for them getting a new tractor.
Steve Peck, Chief Revenue Officer, Monarch Tractor

Poulos validates Peck's insights. “When we put orders in for Monarch [through CORE], Monarch took care of everything, 100% — all the paperwork, they worked with CORE, they got us set up, got us approved, and every step along the way when we’ve had a question or issue, it’s been handled quickly and professionally, which is important,” Poulos says.
Initial investment costs are a necessary part of acquiring any type of ag machinery. Current interest rates, along with uncertainty over labor issues and profitability, have slowed the demand for investment, overall. Initiatives like the California CORE program, when paired with Monarch’s technology, help mitigate these issues.
Because the MK-V is a software-defined off-road vehicle, it can be configured digitally, enabling new features and adding functionality even after the point of purchase. By stacking automation, electrification, and AI computing into the tractor, the MK-V supports ongoing payback throughout the life of ownership.
To date, Monarch has seen many successes with farmers implementing MK-V tractors into their daily operations, ranging from pushing feed to vegetation management. In one case, Gamble Estate Vineyards reported the MK-V is saving the farm $10-$12K in fuel costs and 40-50 tons of carbon emissions, annually.
